BBC Commentators Wife and Daughters Killed by Crossbow

Three women found dead at a home in Hertfordshire have been named as the wife and two daughters of BBC commentator John Hunt.

The BBC said that the victims were Carol Hunt, 61, and her daughters Jennifer, 33, and Eva, 29.

Police are searching for a man who is believed to be responsible for the deaths.

John Hunt is a familiar voice to millions of BBC Radio 5 Live listeners as the voice of racing commentary.

He has commentated on some of the biggest races in the world, including the Grand National and the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

The family home in the village of Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, was cordoned off by police on Sunday afternoon.

A post-mortem examination is due to take place on Monday.

The BBC has expressed its condolences to John Hunt and his family.

In a statement, the BBC said: "We are deeply saddened to hear of the tragic deaths of Carol Hunt, Jennifer Hunt and Eva Hunt.

"Our thoughts are with John Hunt and the rest of the family at this difficult time."
